The McNamara community came together to help those in need once again. On Friday, January 15th 2010, money was raised for those who were affected in Haiti by the recent earthquake. The tragedy destroyed most of the capital, Port-au Prince, and the surrounding cities. Along with the faculty and staff, the students contributed by paying two dollars to dress down the entire school day. Student Council was also on hand to help all the parents who wanted to donate in the morning. Together, as a school community, McNamara raised 5,500 dollars just on Friday. This shows how people are really concerned for those who are suffering in Haiti. McNamara has and will continue to accept donations from caregivers for the next few weeks.
